Obituary
Tommy Neil Pratt, 70, of Calhoun died on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Redmond Regional Medical Center following several months of declining health. Tommy was born in Selma, Tennessee; he was the son of the late Leonard Nelson and Mary Nell Wyatt Pratt. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Pratt. Tommy was a very faithful and involved member of Boone Ford Baptist Church; his presence there will be greatly missed. To many children, Tommy was Santa. He was a member of The Douglasville Masonic Lodge. Tommy was a veteran of The United States Army where he served in the Vietnam era. He was hazardous material specialist for the State of Georgia.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Nancy Evans Pratt; his children and their spouses, Leslie and Wes Brown, Cynthia and Colby Miller, and Kasey and Chad Greeson; his sister, Barbara Pratt Smith; his grandchildren, Paige Brown and Lily Greeson; his nephews Wyatt Smith, Matt Smith, Robbie Evans, Allen Evans, Josh Evans, and Paul Evans; his niece, Katie Pratt; a special friend, Ross Quarles; other relatives and many close friends.
The Pratt family will receive friends on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Boone Ford Baptist Church from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. from Boone Ford Baptist Church. Dr. Gary Quarles and Dr. Leamon Smith will officiate. The Bohannon family, Wes Brown, and Jamie Burns will arrange the music for the service. Tommys body will lie in state at the church on Saturday from noon until the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Robbie Evans, Allen Evans, Wyatt Smith, Matt Smith, Ross Quarles, and Harvey Long. Honorary pallbearers are Timothy Quarles, Bryan Bohannon, Walter Bohannon, Gary Faucett, Tim Wilson, Steve Quarles, John Haliday, Steve McDougle, Dale Stone, Joel Garland, David Buckner, Mike Duvall, Eric Bohannon, Rick Langston, and A.J. Waters.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Boone Ford Baptist Church at 1350 Boone Ford Road, Calhoun, Georgia 30701, or the MPS Society at www.mpssociety.org.
