Obituary

Mr. Toney John Thomason, 60, of the Sonoraville Community, died at Erlanger Medical Center on Friday, December 21, 2018, following several months of declining health. Toney was born on December 4, 1958. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnston E. Thomason; his uncle, Zane Johnson. Toney owned a construction company for more than twenty-five years. Along with his family, he grew chickens for Tyson Foods. Toney was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Toney is survived by his wife, Sherry Thomason; his mother, Margaret Thomason; his sons and daughters-in-law, Kirkland and Lexie Peppers, and T.J. and Kristen Thomason; his daughter, Alexa Thomason Oesterle and her husband, Devin; his grandchildren, Ryley, Finch, Draven, Fisher, Oliver, Bodie, and Baylon; his sister, Sherry (Keith) Parker; his cousin to whom he was very close, Jeremy Johnson, and Jeremy's son, Sawyer Zane Johnson; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The Thomason family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. On Thursday, Toney's family will receive friends at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Fain Cemetery. Rev. Mark Owens and Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Pallbearers are Tim Allen, Mike Stallings, Roger Bearden, Gary Duke, Riley Peppers, Finch Peppers, and Draven Peppers.
