Tony Lee Charles

Mr. Tony Lee Charles, age 58 of Calhoun, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Gordon Hospital. He was born on October 8, 1953, son of Aileen Goss Charles and the late Dennis Charles. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Charles.

Survivors include his mother, Aileen Goss Charles of Calhoun; a son, Nicholas Charles of Calhoun; two daughters, Roslynn Charles of Calhoun, and Kacie Charles of Ellijay; two sisters, Rita Defoor and her husband Jeff, and Sheila Reno, both of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Tucker Blalock, Dylan Blalock, Braxton Blalock, Tyler Chastain, Tagan Chastain, and Kalie Cantrell. Other relatives also survive.

Mr. Charles' body will be cremated according to his wishes, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Charles memory.
