Tonya Michelle Brown

Miss Tonya Michelle Brown, age 41 of Sugar Valley, GA passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 following several years of declining health. She was born in Floyd County on April 26, 1972, daughter of Wayne and Louise Holmes Brown. She was preceded in death by grandparents, L.W. (Jerry) Brown and Robbie S. Brown.

Tonya was a member of Sugar Valley Church of God.

She leaves behind her parents, Wayne and Louise Holmes Brown of Sugar Valley; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Patty Brown of Sugar Valley; grandmother, Lula Mae Sheriff of Calhoun; uncles and aunts, Larry and Ann Sheriff and Gary and Lisa Sheriff, and Rita Bohannon, all of Calhoun; a niece, Amanda Brown; nephews, Michael Brown, Jr. and Hunter Brown; cousins, and other relatives.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Miss Tonya Michelle Brown will be held Friday, December 27th at 2:00 PM from the Sugar Valley Church of God, with Rev. Dwaine Shadix and Rev. Gary Bowman officiating. Music will be arranged by Amy Padgett. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Randy Balliew, Randy Gallman, Wayne Aldridge, Hoyt Bates, Lonnie Teffeteller., Tom Pickle, and Bobby Dodd. Honorary pallbearers are Wade Reese, Max Johns, Gary Sheriff, Larry Sheriff, Randall Rutledge, and Eric Guthrie.

Tonyas body will lie in state at Sugar Valley Church of God Friday from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM.

The Brown family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
