Mrs. Toy Crump Nantz, age 79 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at Calhoun Health Care following several months of declining health. She was born in Albany, GA on March 21, 1933 daughter of the late Edgar and Carrie Allen Silver. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Olan Silver, and a sister, Velma Hales.

Mrs. Nantz was a loving, compassionate lady, full of energy and known as a great cook. She loved her family, playing Bingo, and her animals.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sharon Baker of Calhoun; two daughters, Glenda Kuglar of Cumming, and Diane Kirk of Calhoun; three brothers, Vernon Silvers of Calhoun, Bill Silvers of Cartersville, and Paul Silvers and his wife Ann of Alabama; and two sisters, Jerlean Goble of Calhoun, and Cleo Harrington of Acworth. Grandchildren surviving are Joshua Kirk, Sam Powell, Nick Kuglar, Cody Baker, and April May; and great-grandchildren are Lilly and Briley May, and Angel Kirk. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Funeral services for Mrs. Toy Crump Nantz will be held Wednesday, June 27th at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Dan Hogan officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will include Cody Baker, Nick Kuglar, Jeremy May, and others.
