Toy Mae Hendrix

Mrs. Toy Mae Hendrix, age 77 of the Taylortown Community, Ranger, Georgia, died Monday, April 09, 2007 at Gordon Hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Hendrix was born on April 27, 1929 in Pickens County, Georgia, daughter of the late Wilburn and Brady Jane Mulkey Mullinax. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Hendrix and a son, Manuel Hendrix. She was a member of the Miracle Temple Church.

Mrs. Hendrix is survived by three daughters; Lorene German and her husband Teddy, Joyce Tillman and her husband, Joe, and Estelle Rogers and her husband, Edward all of Ranger; five sons; Charles Hendrix and his wife, Karen, Rev. Ronald Hendrix and his wife, Betty, Vernon Hendrix and his wife, Ann, James Hendrix and his wife, Oris all of Ranger, and Jimmy Hendrix and his wife, Sheena of Ellijay; two sisters; Mildred Stone and Georgie Lee Silvers both of Ranger; and one brother; Bill Mullinax of Acworth. Twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Toy Mae Hendrix will be conducted Thursday at 3:00 p.m. from the Miracle Temple Church with Rev. Herschel Pierce, Rev. Gene Clark and Rev. Bobby Timms officiating. Singing will be arranged by the church singers. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Eddie Brannon conducting the graveside service. Mrs. Hendrix will be carried to the Miracle Temple Church Tuesday evening at 5:00 p.m. to lie in state and where the family will receive friends.
