Mr. Travis Pack, age 59 of Ranger, passed away November 17, 2007 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Gordon County on March 8, 1948, son of the late Henry and Thaley Cronan Pack. Mr. Pack was a supervisor at J & H Carpets in Eton for the past eighteen years, and was a member of Prayer Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Pack and J.L. (Bud) Pack; and a sister, Lois McCurdy.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Frances Young Pack; two daughters, Jami Jackson and her husband Steven of Fairmount, and Tiffany Pack of Cartersville; two brothers, Jerry Pack of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Gary Pack of San Bernardino, California; four sisters, Beatrice Newnan of Chatsworth, Betty Bingham of Dalton, Helen Castillo of California, and Juanita Wilkins of Missouri; and one grandchild, Thaley Jackson.
Funeral services for Mr. Travis Pack will be conducted Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Perry Blackstock officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include James Bingham, Kyle Paulk, Mark Denison, Mitchell McCurdy, Michael McCurdy, and Chris Pack. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 12:15pm. Honorary pallbearers will include Joe Silvers, Tommy Silvers, Steve Silvers, and Luke Corn. These are asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 12:45pm. The family will begin receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday after 6:00pm.
