Varina "Granny" Mckeehan

Varina "Granny" McKeehan, age 62, of Rocky Face, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center.She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Jewell Nix; brother, Morris Nix and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Matilda McKeehan of Rocky Face; son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Stacy McKeehan of Lafayette; sister and brother-in-law, Johnnie and Jimmy Bowers of Calhoun, brothers and sisters-in-law, Juan and Genie Nix, Tony and Linda Nix, Marvin and Patsy Nix all of Calhoun; grandchildren, Kerrie, Corey, Michael, Amber, Madlynn and James McKeehan, several aunts, nieces and nephews also survived.

The funeral service to honor the life of Varina McKeehan will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples with Rev. Mike Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Gordon County.
