Virgil Roy Hyde

Mr. Virgil Roy Hyde age 64, of Calhoun passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Gordon Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Hyde was born in Bartow County on May 30, 1943 son of the late Vest and Mable Hall Hyde. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pearlene Hyde and by a special niece, Shelia Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Hall Hyde of Calhoun. One brother, Billy Hyde of Dalton, and a niece; April Hanna of Calhoun also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Virgil Roy Hyde will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Norris Sexton and Rev. Pat Potts officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Howard Hall, Jerry Holt, Larry Wilson, Terry Hall, James Serritt, Adam Stanfield and Doug Harris. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday after 11:00 a.m.
