Mrs. Virginia Faye Hindmon, age 63 of the Erwin Hill Community, passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hindmon was born on October 25, 1945 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Preston Arvil Young and Louise Yarborough Young. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lee Hindmon on August 29, 1992.
Mrs. Hindmon is survived by a special friend and companion of 14 years, Alan Copeland; three daughters, Tonya Chastain and her husband Lamar of Fairmount, Lisa Sollicito of Adairsville, and Tina Anderson of Calhoun; and a son, Nicholas Hindmon of Sonoraville; three sisters, Teresa Parker and her husband Ricky of Calhoun, Betty Smith, and Pat Williams and her husband Bill, all of Florida; and a brother, Charles Young and his wife Lucricia of Calhoun. Four grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Faye Hindman will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Langston officiating. Active pallbearers will include Chris Mann, Randy Lamb, Matthew Lee, David Filyaw, Robert Copeland, and Kimball Guffey. Interment will follow the service at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 9:00am until the funeral hour of 11:00am.
