Virginia Jackson Mooney

Mrs. Virginia Jackson Mooney, 67, of Calhoun, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 19, 2014 after several months of declining health.

Virginia was born in Rome, Georgia on May 30, 1947, daughter of Mildred Waddell and the late France M.J. Jackson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Boatner. She was a member of Sonoraville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, James Arnold Mooney of the home; her mother, Mildred Waddell of Bremen, Georgia; a son, Don Boatner; a daughter, Linda McEarchern; a brother, M.J. France Jackson, Jr.; a sister, Kathy Weaver; grandchildren, Josh Wiggins, Randy Wiggins, Tabitha Boatner, Mason Boatner, and Dawson Boatner; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Wiggins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Virginia Jackson Mooney will be held Monday, June 23rd at 1:00 PM from the Sonoraville Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Skates officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Josh Wiggins, Randy Wiggins, Mason Boatner, and Dawson Boatner.

The Mooney family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday, June 21st from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
