Virginia Keith

Mrs. Virginia Keith Nix, age 93 of Fairmount, GA passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013. She was born in Forsyth County, GA on July 9, 1919, daughter of the late Thomas Smith Keith and the late Beulah Conner Keith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Andrew Nix; two sons, George Aaron Nix and Ronald Keith Nix; two brothers, Lovic Keith and Leonard Keith; two sisters, Doris Griffin and Leona Walters; and a grandchild, Keith Andrew Leonard.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William and Peggy Nix of Fairmount; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vada and Ken Leonard, and Carole and J. Guthrie, all of Calhoun; a daughter-in-law, Monique Nix of Port Saint Lucie, FL; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Keith Nix will be held Monday, March 18th at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Donnie Hudgens officiating. Music will be arranged by Ricky Nix and Eric Guthrie. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and include Ricky Nix, William Nix, Bryan Guthrie, Eric Guthrie, Kenneth Leonard, Jr., and Kevin Leonard; and a granddaughter, Andrea Rickett will be honorary pallbearer.

The Nix family received friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday, March 17 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
