Vivian Carden Goodwin

Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Haven of Rest Memorial Park in Calhoun, GA, for Vivian Carden Goodwin.
Mrs. Goodwin, 82, passed away March 9, 2017, in Artesia, NM.
Eddie Brannon will officiate at the service. Cremation was performed in Artesia, NM.
Vivian was born February 18, 1935, in LaFayette, GA to Dewey and Eva Carden. She was raised in Ranger, GA.
On December 15, 1956, she married Warren C. Goodwin in Decatur, GA. In 1956, Vivian graduated from the Piedmont School of Nursing in Atlanta, GA. After nearly 30 years of working as an RN, she retired, attaining the level of Director of Nurses at Bonners Ferry Community Hospital, Bonners Ferry, ID.
Vivian and Warren retired to Rome, GA. After his passing, she moved to Artesia, NM to be with her daughter.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise Coburn and husband James, Sr., and grandson James Jr., all of Snellville, GA; granddaughter, Alexandra and husband Alexander, and great-grandchildren Caroline and Jude of Sugar Hill, GA; daughter, Tracey Hamilton and fianc Paul Phillips of Artesia, NM; brothers Norman Millsap and wife Shelby, Larry Carden and wife Rosemary, all of Ranger, GA, and Kenneth Carden of Louisville, KY; sister, Sandra Chastain of Fairmount, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Warren in 2013, her parents, brother Lamar Carden, and sisters Lonita Carden, Dottie LaVonne Peterson, Juanita Hendrix, and Wanda Hendrix.
