Mr. Walter David Gravley age 58 of Fairmount, passed away Friday February 22, 2008. He was born in Cherokee County on January 5, 1950, son of the late Grady Elbert and Pairlee Summer Gravley. He was preceded in death by four brothers and by three sisters.
Survivors include his wife Hazel Young Gravley. Three stepsons; Bryan Bradshaw of Resaca, Billy Bradshaw of Calhoun and Raymond Hill of Adairsville, and by two stepdaughters; Crystal Cole of Rydal and Charlotte Kay of Calhoun. One brother; Ronnie Gravley of Fairmount and six sisters; Pat McCoy of Calhoun, Joan Bradshaw of Jonesboro, Joanne Clark of Canton, Shirley Crump of Talking Rock, Brenda Butler of Chatsworth and Sandra Lacey of Elijay and eleven step-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Walter David Gravley will be conducted Monday February 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from the Friendship Baptist Church in Ludville with Rev. Pat Potts officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers serving will include J.M. Buttrum, Brandon Bradshaw, Bryan Bradshaw, Alan McCoy, Darrel Bradshaw and Billy Bradshaw. Honorary pallbearers will include Ronnie Gravley and Raymond Hall. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Saturday after 5:00 p.m.
