Wanda Kay Proctor

Mrs. Wanda Kay Proctor, age 64 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Whitfield County on April 11, 1947, daughter of the late George (Bud) and Florence Roberts Wilbanks.

Mrs. Proctor had been employed at the Sonoraville High School for 5 years and with OMC for 17 years. She was a member of the Calhoun Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Jack Proctor; a son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Erin Proctor of Calhoun; a daughter and son-in-law, Shae and Brandon Bishop of Calhoun; stepsons, Jackie Proctor, Gary Proctor, and Jeff Proctor, all of Calhoun; a step-daughter, Nancy Proctor of Calhoun; and a brother and sister-in-law, David and Nancy Wilbanks and their son Zachary of Resaca. Grandchildren surviving are Wyatt, Corbin, and Codi Bishop, Jack and Jenna Proctor, and Christopher and Taylor Proctor. Other survivors are aunts, Betty Payne, Dee Brown, and Bertha Russell; cousins, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Kay Proctor will be held Saturday, August 20th at 2:00pm from the Calhoun Church of Christ, with Butch Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
