Wanda L. Roberts

Mrs. Wanda Lee Roberts, age 77 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Gordon Health Care. She was born in Kingston, Michigan on January 30, 1934, daughter of the late Guy and Bernice McCullum Jobe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Jobe and Woody Jobe; an infant grandchild, Joseph Michael Roberts; and a brother-in-law, Ward Duhame.

Mrs. Roberts was a retired waitress, and a member of The Salvation Army of Cartersville and the Sugar Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, John Bernard Roberts, Sr.; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jean Roberts of Calhoun, Joseph and Cindi Roberts of Ocala, FL, and Jerry and Chris Roberts of Port St. Lucie, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Wayne Trundle of Ranger, GA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Jean Jobe of Crystal River, FL, and Pugie and Alice Jobe of Live Oak, FL; and a sister, Mary Duhame of Sebastian, FL. Grandsons surviving are John B. Roberts, III and his wife Olivia of Calhoun, Chad Trundle and his wife Wendy of Calhoun, and Jeremy Roberts of Port St. Lucie, FL; and granddaughters, Danielle Speak and her husband Jon of Beverly Hills, FL, Jennifer England and her husband Jeremy of Calhoun, Michelle Casseneuve and her husband Michael of Tennessee, Nicole Scott and her husband Lance of Calhoun, and Amanda Roberts of Port St. Lucie. Great-grandchildren are Mackenzie Roberts, Kaitlyn Casseneuve, Shawn Casseneuve, Ashlyn Trundle, Brayson Trundle, Caylon Trundle, Kannon England, Payton England, Jasmine Speak, John B. Roberts, IV, Ryan Yielding, Anbree Scott, Keely Scott, Delaney Speak, Sean Creese, and Corey Creese. Other survivors include sisters-in-law, Mary Taylor of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Grace Jeter of Ft. Lauderdale, and Mae Roberts of Newnan, GA; a brother-in-law, Joe Roberts and his wife Virginia of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and an aunt, Benita Benz of Palm Harbor, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Lee Roberts will be held Thursday, January 12 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Major John Fuller and Rev. Mitch Phillips officiating. Wayne Trundle will deliver the eulogy. Music will be arranged by Turning Point. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers are John B. Roberts, III, Chad Trundle, Jeremy England, Lance Scott, Michael Casseneuve, Jon Speak, John Roberts, IV, Ryan Yielding, and Jeremy Roberts. Honorary pallbearers are John B. Roberts, Jr., Joseph M. Roberts, and Jerry J. Roberts.

The Roberts family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
