Wayne Douglas Tankersley

Mr. Wayne Douglas Tankersley, age 67, of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2007, following several weeks of declining health. He was born in Fulton County on August 8, 1939, to the late Terrell and Vivian Albert Tankersley.

Survivors include a brother, Bobby Tankersley and his wife Penny of Carrollton; and a sister, Diane Hall and her husband Fain of Calhoun. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Douglas Tankersley will be conducted at 1:00pm on Sunday, February 11, 2007, from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. J.B. Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in the Mosley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia. Active pallbearers will include Aaron Tankersley, Justin Kyttle, Josh Kirby, Jasper Kirby, Mark Adams, and Billy Collins. The family will begin receiving friends after 5:00pm on Friday, and will continue on Saturday.
