Wayne Lamar Smith

Mr. Wayne Lamar Smith, age 32 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at Gordon Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Gordon County on October 9, 1977, son of the late Bennie Wayne Smith and Tiny Lynn Beavers Smith. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Crawford; a grandfather, Harold Beavers; and a nephew, Allen Kimbrell. During his lifetime he was employed in the plumbing industry.

Survivors include his mother and step-father; Tiny and Daniel Young; a son, Warren Holland; two sisters, Tina Kimbrell and Amanda Crawford; and grandparents, Junior and Ruth York, all of Calhoun. A niece, Tiny Nix; two nephews, Michael Crawford and Gage Crawford, and aunts and uncles also survive.

A memorial service for Mr. Wayne Lamar Smith will be conducted Wednesday, September 8th at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating.
