Mrs. Will Nell Serritt, 78, of Calhoun, died at her home on Saturday, October 17, 2015 following several months of declining health.
Mrs. Serritt was born in Gordon County on April 8, 1937; she was the daughter of the late R.L. and Ruby Hall. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Hall, James Hall, and Donald Joe Chadwick. Mrs. Serritt retired from Astro Dye. She was a Christian of the Church of God faith. Her family will treasure their memories of her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors are her husband of fifty years, Vernon Serritt; her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Charmain Serritt, of Calhoun; her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Larry Walraven, of Sugar Valley; her granddaughters and their husbands, April and Randall Crawford, of Calhoun, and Melea and Jeff Romine, of Calhoun; her grandsons, Tyler Serritt and Trevor Serritt; her great-grandchildren, Alexis Breese, Brittney Breese, Bricen Romine, Gabby Romine, and Katie Crawford; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Rembert and Carol Hall, of Hoschton, Georgia, and Larry and Nan Hall, of North Augusta, South Carolina; her sister, Betty Walraven, of Calhoun; several nieces and nephews.
The Serritt family will receive friends on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 20th at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dwaine Shadix and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeff Romine, Bricen Romine, Danny White, William Serritt, Larry Muse, and Dennis Patton.
Mrs. Serritt's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Gordon Hospital, Gordon Home Care, and Homestead Hospice for the wonderful care and support they received.
