William Boggs

Mr. William Albert (W.A.) Boggs, age 89 of the Concord Community, Fairmount, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Gordon Hospital following six months of illness.

He was born on July 30, 1920 in Floyd County, son of the late James Monroe Boggs and Fannie Virginia Owens Boggs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Ellis Boggs to whom he was married for sixty years; a daughter, Linda Talley; two sons, Howell Boggs and Lamar Boggs a sister, Ruth Boggs; and brother, Clarence Boggs. During his lifetime, he served his country with the United States Army, and was employed by Echota Fabrics. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Wilson and her husband Jimmy of Calhoun; and three sons, Jerry Boggs and his wife Cindy; James Boggs and his wife Shelia, all of Calhoun, and Rev. Keith Talley and his wife Patty of Sugar Valley. Grandchildren surviving are Billy Wilson and his wife Kristie, Michael Wilson and his wife Monica, Misty Blackmon and her husband Jason, Miranda Serritt and her husband Nathan, Brittany Hughey and her husband Justin, Candace Boggs, and Zach Talley and his fiancA
