William Dee Painter

Mr. William Dee Painter, age 38 of Calhoun, died suddenly Friday, October 30, 2015. He was born in Whitfield County, GA on August 27, 1977, son of Leonard Paul Painter Jr. and Sherry Burchett Painter.

William was a graduate of Gordon Central High School. He loved to fish and spend time outdoors. He was a member of Victory Temple Church of God. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Ann Brannon Burchett; mother-in-law, Minnie Rosetta Meyers; and a step-sister, Shirley Painter.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Faye Meyers Painter, to whom he was married for 17 years; his sons, Dakota Allen Painter, William J. Painter and Christian I. Painter; a brother, Marvin Paul Painter and his wife Yvonne; step-sisters, Lynn Ramza and Barbara Winkle; a step-brother, Steve Painter; nephews, P.J. Painter, Ryan Ramza, James Ramza and Bobby Winkle Jr.; a niece, Cathy Painter; and father-in-law, Donald Meyers.

Funeral services to honor the life of William Dee Painter will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd, at 2:00 PM, from Victory Temple Church of God, with Pastor Jeff Dutton and Rev. Dennis Childers officiating. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park, with Eddie Brannon in charge of the committal service.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 2nd, at Victory Temple Church of God, between the hours of 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

The family requests that flowers be omitted, and contributions be made to the William Painter Memorial Fund, c/o Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1027, Calhoun, GA 30703, to help with final expenses.
