William Edward Dyer

Mr. William Edward Dyer of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Gordon Hospital. He was 79 years of age.

Mr. Dyer was born on April 21, 1929 in Lavonia, Georgia. He served his country with the United States Army and retired as a millworker for Kittrich, Inc.

Mr. Dyer is survived by his wife, Marie Dyer, to whom he was married for 44 years; two daughters, Angela Ray and Phyllis Dyer, both of Calhoun; one son, William Dyer, Jr. of Laredo, Texas; one sister, Betty Goff of Lavonia, Georgia, and special friends, Christy Atkins and Sherry Lee. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. William Edward Dyer will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in the Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday evening, during the hours of 3:30pm and 9:00pm.
