William Henry Franklin

Mr. William Henry Franklin, age 68 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his residence.

Mr. Franklin was born on August 25, 1940 in Whitfield County; son of the late Charlie Franklin and Janie Carter Franklin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maxine White Franklin, to whom he had been married for 48 years. Mr. Franklin was retired from Perfect Fit Industries as an electrician, and was a member of Evangelistic Outreach Ministries.

Survivors include three daughters; Cindy Carlson and her husband Phil of Dalton, Donna Mathews and her husband Randall of Ranger, and Tammie Ledford of Calhoun; two sons, Tony Franklin and Danny Franklin, both of Calhoun; four sisters, Beatrice Morrison and her husband James of Chatsworth, Becky Milsap and her husband Terry of Dalton; Molly Carpenter and her husband Lynn of Rocky Face, and Gracie Morrison and her husband Claudis of Dalton; two brothers, Buster Franklin and his wife Annie of Ranger, and Lonnie Franklin of Calhoun; grandchildren, Brian Mathews, Holly Mathews, Corey Ledford, Heather Talley, Alan Carlson, David Carlson, Jake Franklin and Jessica Franklin, and one great grandchild; Alyssa Maddox. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. William Henry Franklin will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. J.B. Kirby officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Brian Mathews, Charlie Morrison, Jacob Franklin, Alan Carlson, Mark Brown and Kelly Brown. Interment will follow the service at the White Cemetery in Villanow, Georgia. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday at 3:00pm.
