William 'Mike' Colquitt

Obituary

William Michael "Mike" Colquitt, 65, of the Crane Eater Community, died at AdventHealth Gordon on Monday, January 14, 2019, following several months of declining health. Mike was born in Morristown, TN on December 31, 1953; he was the son of the late Henry Lee and Mildred Mitchell Colquitt. He was a 1973 graduate of Red Bud High School, where he played football. Following his graduation, Mike proudly served in the United States Navy. He attended Resaca Church of God and Adairsville Church of God.
Mike is survived by his wife, Flora Colquitt; his daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and John Townsend; his grandchildren, Summer Jordon, Natalie Townsend, and Ian Townsend; his brother and sister-in-law, Mitch and Tina Colquitt; his sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Bennett and Lea and Tommy Lacey; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The Colquitt family will receive friends on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate. A graveside service, with US Navy Honors, will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. from Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
