Willie Eugene Pack

Mr. Willie Eugene Pack, age 88, of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Fort Oglethorpe Nursing Center. He was born in Gordon County on May 22, 1919, son of the late John and Eva Junkins Pack. Mr. Pack was a loving, giving, husband and father. He loved to play the guitar and sing, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers; Jasper and Sam Pack, and three sisters; Annie Mae Holden, Leola Parker, and Suzie Callahan.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Nannie Lou Bohannon Pack; a son and daughter-in-law; Lloyd and Donna Pack; two daughters; Johnnie Conway and Ruby King and her husband Ronnie, all of Calhoun. Eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Willie Eugene Pack will be conducted Tuesday, June 19, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow in the New Zion Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Steven Craig, Terry Hopper, Gavin Pack, and Alfie Trapp. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:30pm. Honorary pallbearers will include the members of Bethel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday after 5:00pm.
