Willie Mae Nation Delatorre

Mrs. Willie Mae Bowman Nation Delatorre, 91 of Calhoun, died Monday, August 24, 2015 at Calhoun Health Care. She was born in Tolberton, GA on September 2, 1923, daughter of the late William B. and Sally Mae Gilbert Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Delatorre, Jr.; her first husband, Q.H. "Doc" Nation; a son, Jerry Nations; a brother, Bruce Bowman; a sister, Betty Jo Sheriff; and great-grandsons, Hunter Nation and Jonathon Nation.

Mrs. Delatorre was a nurse with Dr. Bill Purcell for 37 years. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include son and daughters-in-law, Ted and Sandy Nation, and Carolyn Nations, all of Calhoun; her daughter, Lisa Delatorre; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Ilene Bowman of Ranger; a sister, Lucille Nix of Sonoraville; grandchildren, Stephanie Weaver, David Nation, Brent Nations, and Scottie Nations; great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Garner, Kody Weaver, Kerry Weaver, Drake Weaver, Skylar Nations, and Britni Nations Reems; and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mae Bowman Nation Delatorre will be held Thursday, August 27th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Reid and Rev. Junior Croft officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Scottie Nations, David Nation, Chuck Nix, Kody Weaver, Kerry Weaver, and Drake Weaver.

The family would like to give special thanks to Rosa Acosta and Wendy Floyd for their care of Mrs. Delatorre.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, August 26th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
