Wylene S. Towe, 85, of Calhoun died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Assured Hospice in Cartersville, Georgia.
Wylene was born in Floyd County, Georgia on February 15, 1936, daughter of the late Cliff and Estelle Baker Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Towe in 1994, daughter, Sherry Towe Chadwick in 1996; granddaughter, Tammy Howerton Turner in 2010; and son, Randy Towe in 2018. During her working career she was employed at Klopman Mills in Shannon and prior to her retirement she was employed at OJay Mills. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda (William Jr.) Daniel, Shelia (Donald) Padgett, Pam (Joey) Newton; brother, Clyde Simmons; grandchildren, Lekitia Gentry, Timmy Daniel, Clifford Daniel, Brandy Chadwick, Heather Maddox, Brandon Towe, Karen Howerton Camp; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wylene Simmons Towe will be held Tuesday, March 30th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Towe officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving will include Donald Padgett, Joey Newton, William Daniel, Clifford Daniel, Timmy Daniel, and Adam Chadwick.
