Zonnie Jordan

Mrs. Zonnie Jarrett Jordan, age 85 of Adairsville, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 at Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in Macon County, GA on March 30, 1925, daughter of the late Arthur Jarrett and Alma Carroll Jarrett. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fain H. Jordan Sr.; a son, Fain H. Jordan Jr.; a daughter, Joann Jordan; brothers, Clem Jarrett, William Jarrett, J.B. Jarrett, George Jarrett, and Ellis Jarrett; and sisters, Florine Webb, Willie Rose Jarrett and Mary Agnes Jarrett. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Marty Jordan and his wife Helen of Calhoun; a daughter, Wilma Chitwood of Adairsville; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Jordan of Calhoun; sisters, Daisy Kinsey of Hiram, Louise Bailey of Plainville, and Christine Baytes of Spartanburg, SC; and a sister-in-law, Betty Jarrett. Seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Zonnie Jarrett Jordon will be conducted at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 6, from the Concord Baptist Church, with Rev. Tim McCulley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Bramlett conducting the committal service. Active pallbearers include Jake Chitwood, Rian Chitwood, Blake Jordan, Ben Jordan, Josh Jordan, and Jonathon Moss. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the church at 1:15pm Wednesday.
